🚀 Livedocs 3.0

This is it. The big one.

We’ve been talking to a ton of you this past month and made huge improvements to the product — along with brand new features and quality-of-life upgrades across the board.

Let’s dive in.

Revamped Agent Mode

Since its launch a few weeks ago, the Livedocs AI agent has gotten an amazing response. Now it’s even better:

  • Streaming responses → up to 8× faster.
  • New tricks → search the web for datasets, browse documentation, and look up facts and recent info.
  • Terminal integration → the agent can now help configure your environment by running terminal commands for you.
  • Smarter models → added support for GPT-5, Claude Sonnet 4.1, and more. Choose whichever model fits your workflow.
  • Richer context → attach tables, dataframes, and doc cells like before… but now also images and PDFs (dashboards, charts, documentation, data dictionaries).
  • Better visibility → see how many tokens your session used and get suggestions for follow-ups.

And — we doubled the free credits for every Livedocs account from $5 to $10. After that, you can upgrade to Pro and set your own usage limits.

Rules

You can now add system-level instructions to the agent.

Think of them as reusable, persistent context at the prompt level — preferences, style guides, or constraints you want to apply across sessions.

Want to always use Polars instead of Pandas? Stick to a specific charting library? Enforce a style guide? Rules handle it.

Mobile-Ready

Turns out data analysis on your phone is a thing.

Starting today, you can use Livedocs on mobile. Stakeholders can now open your notebooks or apps directly from their phones — perfect for quick reviews on the go.

App Builder Refresh

The app builder lets you turn notebooks into real apps — dashboards, internal tools, or widgets to embed elsewhere.

We’ve refreshed the UX, added documentation, and made it fullscreen for easier building. Support for themes and more interaction types (buttons, dropdowns, etc.) is coming soon.

Improved Sharing

Sharing is way simpler now:

  • Share a static, view-only version of your notebook.
  • Embed that static version into apps like Notion.
  • Cleaner sharing settings → invite people to docs or the whole workspace with less hassle.

For You Tab

Your workspace home (aka the For You tab) just got an upgrade:

  • Quick links to helpful docs.
  • Start an agent chat instantly.
  • See scheduled docs at a glance → monitor ETL pipelines or workflows without digging.

Faster Tables

Table cells and SQL query results are now virtualized → load giant datasets without breaking a sweat.

And more…

Plenty of bugs squashed, stability improvements shipped, and general polish across the board.

That’s it for this month’s updates. And trust me — next month is going to be even crazier. You’re never going to look at data the same way again.

In the meantime:
