Overview of the Data Tab
The Data tab in Livedocs serves as the central hub for managing your data sources. It enables you to connect to external databases or upload CSV files, making it simple to work with structured data for analysis and visualization. Whether you are working with enterprise-grade databases or sample data files, this tab is where you begin.
The Data tab is divided into two primary sections:
- Databases: This section allows you to connect to and manage external databases. You can add connections to supported databases such as PostgreSQL, ensuring your documents are linked to live, queryable datasets. These connections are displayed in a list, where you can view their names, connection statuses, and settings.
- Files: This section is designed for uploading and managing CSV files. Once uploaded, these files become accessible data sources for use throughout your documents. Each file is displayed in a list view with details such as file name, size, and the user who uploaded it, making it simple to organize and reference datasets effectively.
By providing a centralized interface for managing data sources, the Data tab streamlines the process of setting up and accessing the data you need for your projects.
