Managing Account Preferences
Keeping your account preferences updated ensures that your profile remains accurate and that you stay informed about relevant updates in Livedocs. This guide will walk you through the options available in the Account section of the Settings tab. The Account section is divided into two subsections: Account and Notifications.
Updating Your Profile Information
The Account subsection allows you to personalize your profile details, making it easier for collaborators to recognize and communicate with you.
To update your profile information:
- Navigate to the Settings tab and open the Account section.
- Click the Account subsection.
- Within the subsection, you can update the following:
- Display name: The name visible to your collaborators.
- Full name: Your complete name for accurate identification and for use with invoices.
- Role: A brief description of your role within your team or workspace.
- Bio: Additional details about yourself, such as your expertise or responsibilities.
- Click Save in the respective field that you modified to persist your changes.
To update your profile picture:
- Click Select and upload in the Picture field. This opens a file dialog box.
- Select an image from your device (e.g., PNG or JPEG format) and confirm the upload.
Once the upload succeeds, your new profile picture will appear in the Picture field and Profile Menu.
If you want to remove your existing profile picture and not use one entirely, click Remove photo in the Picture field.
Configuring Email Notifications
Email notifications help you stay informed about important updates in Livedocs, such as billing activity or changes to supported data sources.
To manage your email notifications:
- Navigate to the Settings tab and open the Account section.
- Click the Notifications subsection.
- Toggle the checkbox of the types of email notifications you want to receive:
- Billing information: Stay informed about subscription and payment details.
- Data sources: Receive news about new features or updates to data source integrations.
- Confirm your selections where applicable.
Best Practices for Account Management
- Regularly review and update your profile details to ensure your collaborators have accurate information about you.
- Enable email notifications for critical updates to avoid missing important information about your workspace.
