You can connect your Google Drive account to Livedocs to import files (CSV, Excel, Parquet, etc.) directly into your notebooks.
How to Connect
- Go to the Data tab in your workspace.
- Click Connect a Database.
- In the Database Type dropdown, select Google Drive.
- Enter a name for this connection.
- Click Connect to Google Drive.
- A Google sign-in window will open. Select the Google account you want to connect.
- Review the permissions and click Allow to authorize Livedocs.

What Permissions Does Livedocs Request?
When you connect Google Drive, Livedocs requests read-only access to your files. This allows you to:
- Browse and select files from your Drive
- Import CSV, Excel, Parquet, and other supported file formats into your notebooks
Livedocs does not modify or delete any files in your Google Drive.
Using Google Drive Files
Once connected, you can:
- Browse your Drive files from the Data Explorer
- Import files directly into Python or SQL cells
- Use files as data sources in your notebooks
